Transitional Hues? What does that mean?

Transitional: relating to or characteristic of a process or period of transition.

Hues: a gradation or variety of a color; tint: The property of light by which the color of an object is classified in the spectrum: all the hues of the rainbow.

Transitional Hues was developed to help individuals identify and work through their “emotional hues” (because most times we are trying to balance more than one emotion at a time, the emotional rainbow) and find healthy ways to navigate their emotional and behavioral concerns through a period of transition.

Meet the Therapist 

Maya M. Johnson, NCC, ICST, LPC/MHSP, is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor based in Memphis, TN. With over five years of experience, she specializes in helping children and adults navigate anxiety, depression, OCD, life changes, and trauma. Maya integrates expressive art therapy into her sessions, bringing creativity and healing together. She proudly serves her community through Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and works as a contract therapist at Kindred Place in Midtown Memphis. Beyond therapy, Maya is a passionate artist behind Art By Maya Mone't, offering abstract paintings, mobile paint parties, and face painting services. She is also the author of Affordable Therapy, available for purchase, sharing her insights to make mental health support accessible to all.
